Concealing Chips & Misalignment
A strictly cosmetic treatment, porcelain veneers can address concerns such as:
- Gaps between teeth
- Inconsistent tooth shape and size
- Chips or cracks
- Minor to moderate misalignment
Achieving a Brighter Smile
Teeth whitening is a common treatment to remove stains and discoloration. However, not all types of stains can be treated with professional bleaching. Deep, intrinsic stains may resist even the highest quality whitening solutions. For these patients, Dr. Gase typically recommends porcelain veneers as they completely cover any discoloration.
Despite their popularity, porcelain veneers are not the best option for every patient. Dr. Gase will conduct an in-depth consultation and evaluation to determine your desired results as well as your candidacy for this treatment. If you are experiencing gum disease, for example, it will need to be resolved through periodontal care before you can receive your veneers.
Some of our other cosmetic treatments can correct similar flaws. For instance, while veneers can be used to create the appearance of a straight smile, some patients may require orthodontic care. Dr. Gase offers Invisalign and ceramic braces to help all types of patients achieve their goals. Dental bonding is also a more affordable alternative to veneers.
Creating & Placing Your Veneers
While placing your veneers is fairly straightforward, a significant amount of energy goes into ensuring that they provide optimal aesthetic results.
Customizing Your Treatment
You and Dr. Gase will collaborate throughout the entire process to ensure that your veneers are tailored to complement your unique features.
Pairing artistic application with high-quality materials, Dr. Gase can help you regain confidence in your smile.
The veneers placement process is typically completed in two parts. During the first appointment, Dr. Gase will remove a small amount of enamel from each treated tooth to accommodate your veneers. Temporary restorations will be placed at this time. In roughly two weeks, you will return to our office. Dr. Gase will exercise the utmost attention to detail when placing and bonding each veneer to complete your smile.
